At the end of this week, information days were organised all over Slovenia. As every year, Hidria's teams of experts were there. They presented to the youth the Hidria corporation and the opportunities it offers, and created a base of potential co-workers who might contribute to Hidria's innovation as soon as in a few years.

Hidria in Koper marks 20 years of activity. During this time, the corporation has grown to become one of the main companies and employers in the region and beyond. Its local and global presence is now further strengthened with the closing of a 60-million-euro business for the manufacture of main parts of lightweight aluminium alloy steering wheel systems, which will open new jobs at the corporation in Koper. To ensure the smooth production of these parts, Hidria has invested another 5 million euros of own funds into a robotised production line based on the Industry 4.0 principle.

Hidria's first Ice Challenge has thrilled more than 30 kids to crown their autumn school holidays with a special sports experience. In the Jesenice Ice Hall they were warmed up with a presentation of martial arts by Denis Porčič-Chorchyp. And then the little heroes became real hockey players and got to know the attractions of the fastest team game in the world.

As part of the project Building Strong Partnerships for Future Champions, we handed out 264 handball balls for young handball players. The mini-handball balls were handed over by Urška Svetlik, a member of Hidria’s Management Board, at the friendly handball match Slovenia : Croatia at the Stožice Sports Park in Ljubljana.

To reduce both energy costs and pollution, a growing number of countries are turning to green innovative solutions, one of them being the development of electric vehicles. The USA is a huge market and plays an important role in electro mobility development. To strengthen this initiative, Hidria Corporation and Orchid International, have entered into a Global Alliance to produce key components for high-performance electric motors, including complete motor cores, rotors and stators.

Hidria and its employees again prove to be among the most innovative in Slovenia. Two of our innovations, the control module for the “after-treatment” system (Hidria AET) and the motorcycle frame welding simulation (Hidria Mototec) were awarded silver prizes of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia (GZS).

The project COMBILASER, in which we develop advanced innovative solutions for the monitoring of industrial welding systems together with development partners from all over Europe, now has a presentation video. It was recorded at Hidria AET and shows the manufacturing process of the diesel engine cold start system with pressure sensor Optymus PSG and its special monitoring system.

Hidria AET participated in important international conference in Germany, on the topic of sensors and their impact on the reduction of harmful emissions. Our corporation was represented by Peter Uršič who presented the unique Hidria Optymus PSG system to the participants.

To strengthen and upgrade the good cooperation with the main automotive manufacturers and manufacturers of industrial technology, the corporation opened a modern technology centre for the maintenance of production tools. And through the strategic project Building partnerships for champions of tomorrow it supports hockey in Jesenice.

Hidria received the visit of representatives of the European development project FACTS4WORKERS and the evaluator of the European Commission Paul Xirouchakis. The aim of the visit was to evaluate the achievements in the first half of the four-year project, with particular emphasis on prototype solutions developed for Hidria Dieseltec.

Hidria proves again that our innovators are the best in our country. Yesterday, the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (GZS) awarded them with a gold and two silver awards for best innovations of the North Primorska region. The gold innovation - the control module for the “after-treatment” system - will also compete for the best innovation in Slovenia.
