Tomos from Koper, Iskra Avtoelektrika and Hidria have recently agreed on co-operation in the development and manufacture of the first electric moped based on Slovenian know-how. Under the established Tomos brand, the two-wheeler is expected to hit the roads in early 2012, targeting mainly Western and Northern European markets, including Slovenia.

In the centre of Ljubljana, a new modern shopping centre was opened, called the Emporium Gallery (Galerija Emporium). It is located in the Urbanc palace, at the corner of the Prešeren Square, the place of the former Centromerkur, which has undergone complete renovation over the last years, according to the original plans and had new life breathed into it. In the complex renovation of the building, Hidria took care to a greater extent of the indoor climate and air regulation.

On 1 December, the German car manufacturer Audi presented for the first time the eagerly awaited new version of high-class limousine, the new Audi A6. This is an exceptional event for Hidria that contributed the key part of the steering system for this vehicle which considerably improves the driving performance of the new limousine and drastically reduces fuel consumption. This is one of Hidria’s best achievements so far in the premium automobile class.

In Nurnberg, Germany, one of the largest European indoor climate fairs, Chillventa, started today. The organisers expect more than 29,000 visitors in three days. Hidria is the only Slovene manufacturer among the 850 exhibitors from all over the world, presenting its energy-efficient solutions.

At solemn event in Spodnja Idrija, the Minister of the Economy Darja Radić, MSc, together with Hidria’s Chairman Edvard Svetlik, the President of the Programme Board of IN PRIME Danijel Krivec and the Director of IN PRIME d.o.o., Almira Pirih, MSc, laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new unit of the IN PRIME Technology Park (TP) in Spodnja Idrija in which the new premises of Hidria Institute for Materials and Technologies will also be located.

The fair AstanaBuild was held in Astana from 19th – 21st May 2010. Hidria was successfully represented by the colleagues from its Moscow representative office. Manufacturers and distributors of HVAC equipment were present in a relative small number so Hidria's products attracted large attention of the designers and investors.

Aqua-Therm Kiev 2010, the largest fair on the territory of the former Soviet Union in the area of air conditioning, heating and cooling, was held from 12th – 15th May 2010 in the capital of Ukraine. Among more than 600 exhibitors from 28 countries, Hidria presented its brand and new products in air conditioning, air distribution, fire protection, heating and cooling.
