The Sixth Istrian Marathon, the second-largest marathon in Slovenia, was held last weekend in the coastal area. Many of our colleagues and colleagues ran the 9.5, 21 and 42- kilometre runs and again demonstrated their persistence and strength.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Koper, Aleš Bržan, visited our Technology Park in Koper yesterday. Together with his colleagues he visited our production facilities in the former Tomos factory. He also heard the plans of our management to strengthen the corporation and the possibilities of cooperation with the local community.

On Friday and Saturday, information days were held around Slovenia where schools presented their educational programs and accompanying activities to future students. In some schools, our corporation has been presented as a future scholarship provider and employer.

Hidria d.o.o. and its consortium partners SiEVA, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (both from the University in Ljubljana), the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (University in Maribor) and Kolektor Group acquired co-funding for the project MOTZART – more efficient electric motors by means of the development of an expert system and new technologies. The project has been running since October 2018 and will last for three years. Its total value is EUR 3,156,167.50, the co-financing amounts to EUR 1,998,008.

Florence Ferrari, the new Ambassador of France to Slovenia, visited us in Spodnja Idrija with her delegation. We presented the work of Hidria to her, informed her about our Corporation development guidelines and showed her around the high-tech labs of the Institute for Materials and Technologies.

Yesterday in Spodnja Idrija we held the Leonardo day which is intended to encourage an innovative cooperation of our Corporation with our suppliers. This year it was attended by more than 100 of our partners. Among them we could see many renowned experts and managers of companies with which Hidria has been working well for a number of years.

This year, the team from the Hidria's Industrial Automation Competence Centre attended the international Motek fair in Stuttgart for the third time. To the visitors they presented novelties and high-tech solutions in industrial automation that are indispensable for modern production.

At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana we and our partners have opened a laboratory for 3D printing of metals; this is one of the most recent and most innovative models of business association of Slovenian science and industry in recent years. Our Corporation had an important role in it.

The manufacturer of premium vehicles Audi presented a new soft-hybrid diesel engine with key parts developed by Hidria. The unit is used in the new models Audi A6 and Audi A7. Thanks to Hidria’s top-notch technology these vehicles are significantly cleaner and more energy-saving.

With her colleagues she viewed our high-tech premises and received information on the newest achievements and innovations from our corporation.
