Because of the covid-prevention measures we again organised the traditional pre-New Year’s meeting via the Teams application. In this virtual environment, we reviewed the achievements and successes of this year and looked into future challenges, being determined to continue to play an important role in co-creating a common green future with our breakthrough innovations.
For the second year in a row, more than 180 participants at the virtual meeting of Hidria's management attended the event via their computers. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was no less positive and festive. In a studio set up especially for this purpose, the members of the Management Board of our Corporation presented this year's results and outlined the guidelines for our future development.
The past year was a special one. We faced a difficult health situation and an unstable and unpredictable global economic environment, but we nevertheless ended the business year with great success.
In this year, we achieved extraordinary business results. And what is even more important, we are stable, stronger, and ready for all future challenges we will meet. We play an important role in the transformation of industry and mobility into a green sustainable economy, which we will further strengthen in the future. This is our business opportunity, and even more important: our obligation to future generations.
Good teams with a healthy corporate culture and dedicated individuals with strong commitments always help to overcome any obstacles and come out of difficult situations even stronger. We prove this again and again.
Guests at the event were also the business and sports psychologist Aleš Vičič and Idrija's top cyclist Jan Tratnik, member of Bahrain Victorious team and winner of the 16th stage of the 2020 Tour of Italy. Tratnik highlighted the importance of motivation and desire for training and learning, even if occasionally the time is difficult. Effort and sacrifice always bring results and success. Important here is teamwork and a team that is inclusive and builds on mutual trust, help and encouragement.
Good motivation and just the right level of stress are crucial for success. And the leaders must know how to balance them correctly.
Vičič explained to the leaders that they should regularly inform their employees where our progress as a company lies, while also pointing out the weaknesses and advantages, i.e., the strengths of the company. Consistent mutual communication and common searching for solutions are needed as well. Team spirit is crucial for the common success, and we must rejoice about small and big victories. In this way, we will be even better and more successful.
