Hidria, which received the award of the German economy for green transformation at yesterday's ceremony in Ljubljana, strives for zero negative impacts on the environment through its operations and the entire supply chain. We strive to create a high quality of life for our employees and the wider communities in which we operate.
"Hidria operates in accordance with international environmental standards. With sustainable technologies and sustainable materials, we create innovative solutions for automotive and industrial technologies. We invest in employee development, create a healthy and inclusive work environment, promote and reward employees. We pay great attention to healthy and safe working conditions. We also constantly invest in the development of the local communities in which we operate," said Bojan Gantar, CEO of Hidria, upon receiving the award.
Boštjan Tušar, director of information technology and sustainable development at Hidria, adds: "We are glad that the Slovenian-German Chamber of Commerce recognized Hidria's sincere commitment to sustainable development. In Hidria's sustainability strategy, we have set very specific goals in the areas of environmental protection, occupational safety, health promotion, sustainable purchasing, energy efficiency and social responsibility."
"Successful modern companies strive to strategically align vision with sustainability goals to ensure that their current business success does not compromise the needs of future generations. We want to reward efforts, which is why we have determined the appropriate criteria for awarding the German Economy Award," wrote the Slovenian-German Chamber of Commerce. The companies, among which Hidria took the highest place, were evaluated according to the clarity of the vision of the green transition, its inclusion in the company's strategy, the definition of concrete and measurable goals and the expected positive impact on the environment and society. In addition, the active role of the company in promoting the green transition in its own industry and the transmission of best practices were of key importance to the commission.
We sincerely congratulate all employees on receiving the award and thank you for your contribution to the sustainable development of Hidria!
