Caterpillar (CAT) grants SQEP (Supplier Quality Excellence Process) recognition to strategic suppliers that master their management processes in such a way that they meet or exceed expectations. Key aspects that determine the award are indicators from the fields of: quality of supplies (ppm), accuracy of deliveries, logistics and development support, ability of manufacturing processes and improvement based on using Six Sigma methodology.
Perkins, which is part of the Caterpillar group, is one of the five largest customers of Hidria AET. The received award therefore places Hidria AET among significant suppliers and at the same time provides better recognition inside the CAT system, and it is also an important confirmation of partnership and good work. The award was granted by Mr. Brad Foster, who is, in the CAT group, responsible for the purchasing of electrical components globally.
The first nomination for the award was back in 2007, but it wasn’t granted because the Six Sigma methodology wasn’t fully implemented at the time. However, thanks to the HLS Department, the requirement to teach the company management the Six Sigma methodology and continuously use it in practice was fulfilled.
The conditions for obtaining the award were successfully fulfilled this time, which confirms the company’s good work. Doing our best will hopefully bring results that will rank Hidria AET at an even higher, gold level in the next period.
