The President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor, together with the leading representatives of the Hidria Corporation, opened a new Hidria Technology Centre at a celebration in Koper. The centre represents a continuation of the construction of the Hidria Technology Park in Koper at Tomos, thereby transforming the technology park into a high technology centre.
It is designed as a distinctly development- and high-technology-oriented centre that will be used by Hidria in particular for the future development of the technologies for the car industry. The activity of the Technology Centre will be primarily targeted at solutions in the field of the automation of manufacturing processes.
The Hidria Technology Centre will develop and manufacture high-technology solutions for automated assembly processes for its business partners. An expert team at the technology centre ensures the development, construction and manufacture of dedicated assembly lines, machines and devices for the automation of assembly, which will allow us to provide professional support for our customers already in the development of their products. At the same time, Hidria is also building its competencies in the field of automation for its own needs.
The assembly systems manufactured at the Hidria Technology Centre are distinguished by their exceptional flexibility. They are constructed and manufactured in such a way that the same assembly line enables the assembly of various variants of the products, which allows our business partners to achieve the maximum productivity.
The present opening of the Technology Centre therefore concludes the first phase of the construction of the Hidria Technology Park in Koper. With its construction, Hidria namely continues to follow the outlined vision that is directly associated with constant investments in development.
Therefore, in recent years, Hidria has invested over EUR 25 million in development and technologies at “Tomos” in Koper, thus developing the location into a high-technology environment. In this location, we are already developing and manufacturing some of the most complex solutions, in particular for the car and motorcycle industry and, among others, installed in vehicles by Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Ducati and others.
