Hidria provided full support for the Jurij Vega High School in Idrija to purchase computer equipment, and set up a state-of-the-art digital classroom for the students to train their IT skills and gather basic know-how for the work in a quickly developing world. The Hidria digital classroom was opened by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration Boris Koprivnikar.
The Hidria computer classroom has 30 modern computers and the newest software used also in the high-tech and innovative production and development processes at Hidria; it will be a great help for the high school students who study in the programmes Mechanical Engineering Technician and Mechatronic Operator, to gather experience they will need to continue their professional path. Some of them at Hidria.
This allows the high school and its students and professors to provide high-quality studies and a better preparation for future technicians and engineers to be included in modern work processes. With the transition into the new digital age, work processes are increasingly informatised and digitalised, so a good preparation of young people for this challenge is of utmost importance. In addition, the new classroom will improve the knowledge transfer between professors and Hidria’s experts, the lecturers’ competences will increase and the cooperation between the schooling system and business strengthen. The partnership with the high school was confirmed with the letter of intent about mutual cooperation.
The digital classroom was opened by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration Boris Koprivnikar. As the Minister is also the initiator of the “Slovenia - a green reference country in the digital Europe” initiative, he first visited our corporation. He was informed about Hidria’s high-tech and innovative solutions for an efficient green mobility of the future. He also supported the Edison project, with which Hidria and the Slovenian automotive cluster wish to connect international partners into a European centre for mobility technologies in Koper.
