The project of the Slovenian Automotive Cluster Mission GREMO (GREen MObility), in which Hidria plays a key role, is focused on green mobility and the digital transformation of the Slovenian automotive industry. At yesterday's strategic development conference in Ljubljana, an agreement was reached by which the Slovenian government undertook to allocate up to 200 million euros of funds to Mission GREMO for successful further development.
The government decided to take this step because the plans of the GREMO Mission represent one of the key development projects for the entire Slovenian economy. As mentioned by Dr. Iztok Seljak, director of Hidrie Holding and coordinator of the Mission GREMO project, the Slovenian automotive industry is becoming the center of development of new technologies for green and sustainable mobility.
"The transition from a carbon society to a carbon-free economy of the future brings extraordinary changes. Some will be able to follow them, others will be left behind. We are determined to lead these changes and co-create the future," he emphasized.
Dr. Iztok Seljak added that the project is important for the Slovenian automotive industry also because the partners today understand that they should not focus on the ten percent in which they represent each other's competition, but on the ninety percent of areas of opportunities, synergies.
"We realized that we are stronger if we do not act against each other, but together, coordinated, if we support each other. The essence of yesterday's event is that we managed to transfer this joint performance to the government, to science. I believe that we will succeed together."
The agreement was signed at yesterday's conference by the Director of the Slovenian Automobile Cluster ACS Tanja Mohorič, the President of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia Robert Golob and the coordinator of the GREMO Mission dr. Iztok Seljak.
